The above was part of Dr Taylor’s speech at Duke Divinity’s chapel. Let’s compare her opinion with what Jesus says about the subject.

“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”

You can see she has a very different Jesus, yet she claims the name of Jesus. How?

The devil is well practiced in many subtleties, his followers are no different. There are many assumptions couched in double speak in Dr. Taylor’s words. As always, heretics have to play with language and create confusion.

Theological Liberalism is just Secular Humanism in theological terms, that’s all it ever was.

Dr. Taylor is coming from this tradition with it’s disdain for Christianity, but greedy lust for the trappings and syllables of it. Like any good demonic movement, it uses ideas that sound good, sound Christian, but mean something different depending on who is hearing them. A movement that is really atheistic and anarchic, it doesn’t believe in God, and it creates disorder. Her idea of Jesus is different, of God is different, and it all shows.

For her movement Jesus was, if even historical, merely a man attested to by untrustworthy later sources with hidden agendas. In her system of belief, she is one of the few who can piece together who he really was and how Christianity evolved.

The only alternative to Christianity is that “God” is the divinity in history, the process, and Jesus merely emerged from this. This is why she is within the woke movement that attempts to keep Christians who acknowledge Christ as king out of any political influence (and does so from of all places, a pulpit).

It has been said the woke law of projection is a constant, if you are not woke, you will be accused of what your woke opponent is doing. What Dr. Taylor does is exactly that, she is one of the person’s controlling the religious institution. She is just as religious and she is in league with the levers of power, unlike what her liberation theology lie tells her. The ideology she espouses is working to maintain it’s law and order towards establishing it’s own. To proceed it has to distract from what it is doing. So, the practice of DARVO is utilized. DARVO is shorthand for the manipulative tactic of deny, attack, and reverse the victim and offender. Her ideology is attempting to establish its own religion, so what option does it have against its rival? Accuse them of the same and attach the label of instigator to the one on defense. 


Who is forcing who to conform with institutional power today? Is it the Christian’s? Or those like her who control the institutions and demand celebration during pride month? Who demand you use their pronouns? Simply, whose God is running the system? Who is marrying religion, law and order and doing so successfully? She is, she is just hoping you don’t notice.

Liberals like her have always used force. They pushed out the conservatives in all the mainline denominations and never won an argument while doing so. They simply did so with the same tactics and did so by procedure. To her, the Christian is the atheist who does not believe in her gods.

To this end of gaining control and rooting out unbelievers there are ad hominems and outright lies. Like her father the devil, she is accusing Christ, through his followers of what she intends to do. 

You see her claim it was not atheists, and she proceeds to warn it was the religious. Aside from the absurdity of an alleged pastor saying this, it was atheists who persecuted Jesus, considering they hated him, rejected him, and he is God incarnate. Jesus’ trial was a blasphemy trial (Matthew 26:63), where he was found guilty by a kangaroo court. It is not merely odd then for one who claims to be Christian to say what she says, but wholly inaccurate for her to say so. 

By every definition of the word even modern atheists are religious. To be religious one does not need to believe in a Spirit or attend ceremony, but answer the questions of origin, meaning, morality, destiny and the sovereign divinity. Atheism answers all these questions and in the forms of Communism and Fascist dictatorships, has killed it’s hundreds of millions in the name of it’s own order. 
Since she believes God is history and the unfolding of it, whatever the universe does is right. Therefore she must follow along with it. This is why her intellectual kin during the Second World War in Europe put images of Hitler on their altars. She has no immunity to actual totalitarianism, just against the idea of a holy sovereign God who comes into the world.

Her liberal compatriots in said countries cheered, and today still cheer, such wickedness. To justify themselves, they have to make her argument, and pretend their opponent is who they in fact are.

She fairs just as poorly when talking about anarchy. Since God’s law is the law that ordered the universe, it really is anarchy that moved to kill Jesus.

Everything she says is wrong because she rejects the one who is the truth (John 14:6).

Without truth, how then can she claim anything that she claims? How can she claim anything about Christ? She clearly doesn’t believe in scripture as accurate and doesn’t believe in the Jesus of the bible. 

Raises the question of where does she get her Jesus? Being a theological liberal she gets it from the culture, and the pervasive powers that be. She worships the zeitgeist (ie the powers that be) which is the most dangerous thing of all. It is all simple, she reinvents Jesus to fit her desires and the flow of the culture at the moment.

This is what she is left with.

There is the secular/sacred split to establish a new religion. The idea was never coherent, and is coming to an end. Bits and pieces remain in what has said, even as it fades around us. The double meanings of Secular humanism remain, but the idea has died, and is being replaced by Woke.

Let’s face it, without God what is there but anarchy?

Government is always founded on a moral system, which always has a moral law giver. That moral law giver is always the God of the system. There is great irony in how Dr. Taylor (I will not call her Reverend) is precisely what she says is dangerous, all while failing to understand any of it. At least one hopes she simply does not understand, and her rebellion is hidden to herself. Scripture paints the clear picture of her heart, and it is a dark place indeed.

Romans 16:17-18
¹⁷ I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. ¹⁸ For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites,^[a] and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

She cannot tell the will of God from her own. There is tremendous irony in this, that God has made his will known in his word and you can stand confidently on that. Yet it is that word which she attacks so she can play the part for herself. Don’t hold back and don’t hesitate. God’s word is enough..
