Bearing their sin

They run as they die within

They hide exposed

Covered yet never more naked

Shadow, sins, sorrow

Things they would have never known

Hastily, sloppily they make a covering

Heeding not the loving warning

Rather than listen they did as they pleased

Listening instead to a lowly beast

So into the world came every ill

Thus was their innocence killed

A simple sickening serpent

Had beguiled the woman

Dragging with her the man at her side

The sorrowful scene ends

With the thundering of their king

Walking in the garden

Seeing their plight

He took up their unwinnable fight

He would contend for his creatures

Through the seed of this woman eve

He would crush the serpent’s head

Death from creation would be cleaved

So at the life of a lamb they are covered

Pointing to the future promise

In sorrow they descended the holy mountain

With a hope they dearly hold

For a new world that awaited

Into destiny eternally fated
